Each fall, the Le Sueur Rotary Club sells long-stem red roses to raise money to fund our projects and scholarships. Roses are sold at $15 per dozen.
In 1992, the Le Sueur Rotary Club began a new fundraising effort by selling long-stem red roses. This was, and remains, our only fundraising effort for the year. The annual Rotary Rose Sales provide our club with the financial resources to continue current and initiate new club projects which has had a positive impact on both the club and the community.
Rose sales...
- Increase community awareness of our Club, Rotary International, and the many projects we support.
- Generate enthusiasm within our club and activities.
- Gets everyone involved; we often have 100% participation.
- Provides the money with which to work.
Roses sold for this fundraiser are top quality, long-stemmed roses grown in South America. In 2007, we are selling red and lollipop (6 to 8 different colors in each dozen) roses. They bloom in the latter part of September and must be cut so they will bloom again for the holidays. Since there is not a great demand for roses this time of year, we are able to purchase the roses and sell them at a reasonable price.
In addition to roses, Le Sueur Rotary is selling a beautiful Fall Bouquet of flowers. The Fall Bouquet is more expensive than the roses ($20), but is a lovely alternative.
